I wanted to create these happy little moon magnets after my old sun and moon sculpture. I was inspired by Fleischer cartoons. They created cartoons such as Betty Boop and Popeye, but were also the first to have the comic book Superman come to life. They also created animations and animated a bouncing ball that you could sing along to your favorite songs at the time, becoming the precursor to music videos.
These are hand made from paper clay, acrylic paint, and strong 2.8 mm magnets. They individually differ.
